Summary
Lancaster City Council is one of the largest providers of affordable rented housing in the district.
The majority of housing stock is situated in the urban areas of Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham, and Carnforth, typically on estates comprising 200-300 dwellings. The council does, however, cover a wide geographical area with properties located within 27 rural/semi-rural communities.
