Summary
Strategic Housing Services work to provide decent, safe and secure homes throughout the district. Areas in which we provide advice, guidance and support include:
- Preventing homelessness
- Tackling empty properties
- Providing home improvement services for vulnerable homeowners
- Licensing of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs)
- Fire safety and general disrepair and management issues in relation to the private rented sector
- Promoting energy efficiency in the home and preventing fuel poverty.
