Imported Foods

Summary

The main source of imports is through Heysham Port in the form of meat, fish and dairy products, the majority of imported foods come from other EU countries.

Neither ports are border inspection posts this means imported foods from outside the European Union have to come through a designated port approved to inspect third country imported foods. For example: Felixstowe, Southhampton and Liverpool.
