Regional Spatial Strategy

Summary

The Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) is prepared by the North West Regional Assembly (NWRA) and published by the Government Office for the North West (GoNW). 

The main purpose of Regional Spatial Strategy is to provide a regional framework for the preparation of local authority development plans. It sets out a broad development framework for the region identifying the provision for new housing, priorities for the environment, transport, infrastructure, economic development, agriculture, minerals and waste treatment and disposal.
