Summary

Smoke is a frequent cause for complaints. There are no byelaws governing domestic bonfires but sensible precautions should be followed to prevent nuisance. Burning of wastes is generally illegal for businesses, trades and industries. Commonly burning is badly managed and causes unnecessary smoke.
