Business in You is a government initiative providing a wealth of information and help to SMEs and people wanting to start or grow their own business.


 Business Link provides a 'one-stop shop' facility for businesses. It is dedicated to helping your business develop and progress by ensuring that you can quickly and easily access the advice, information and skills needed to succeed from the broadest range of private, public and voluntary business support services.


Lancaster District Chamber of Commerce promotes the interests of businesses throughout the whole of Lancaster District. Through its affiliation to the Association of British Chambers of Commerce it has links throughout the UK, the European Union and world-wide. 

A range of services and facilities is available to members including:

  • Networking Opportunities - Business 2 Business lunches and exhibitions, briefings, seminars, trade sector meetings and social events.
  • Meeting Room Facilities - a well-equipped and spacious meeting room available to hire at reduced rates for Members.
  • Representation - the Chamber acts as the independent voice of business in Lancaster District, helping to promote your best interests at a local, regional and national level.

Enterprise4All can, in certain circumstances, provide a comprehensive range of flexible support to people considering self employment under the Intensive Start Up Support contract.

One-to-one advice is available on a wide variety of issues including business planning, finance, marketing and legal requirements.


Lancashire Innovation Network is delivered by Regenerate Pennine Lancashire’s team of experienced, independent advisers who will provide free impartial advice, guidance and financial assistance for technology and innovation projects.

The project supports non retail SMEs across the whole of Lancashire, including the Lancaster District.

The team provides in-depth one-to-one support to assess how innovative change could benefit a business, and expertise can also be leveraged externally from the private sector or from the region’s universities and colleges. Partial financial support to a maximum of £5,000 is also available together with opportunities to access additional support via partner offers such as Rosebud Financial Solutions.
