Business Rent Grant Scheme

If the answer to both these questions is YES then the city council's Business Development Scheme may be able to help you.
What does the Scheme offer?
A rent grant of 50% of the first year's basic rent on business premises located within Lancaster district.
The maximum grant is normally £2500, however this may increase to £5000 if rapid expansion and significant jobs growth is projected, requiring larger scale premises.
Is my business eligible?
In order to qualify for a business rent grant there are some basic criteria that should be met:
- Businesses should be start-up or within the first three years of trading
- The business should employ no more than 10 full-time (or full-time equivalent) employees
- The business must be located within the Lancaster District
- The business must normally be engaged in activities providing higher value jobs or be of significant community benefit, for example: manufacturing, ICT/ new media, environmental technologies, creative industries,services to industry, community enterprises
