Grants for Growth

£1.5 million available for community, voluntary and faith groups in Lancashire to helping people access jobs and training.

Lancashire's Grants for Growth is a £1.5 million grant scheme offering grants of up to £6,000 to community, voluntary and faith groups in Lancashire to help people access jobs and training.

"Helping disadvantaged people overcome some of the barriers that the face in moving towards opportunities in employment, education, training or volunteering" (European Social Fund - ESF) 

Initiatives range from informal job clubs, metoring,  skills workshops, work experience placements to actually funding people into paid employment.  Many poeple have been helped to build up their confidence, gain new skills and qualifications and move into paid employment. 

Grants can be spent on

  • Costs associated with travel & childcare costs
  • Administration costs directly associated with the project
  • Capital purchases under £1000
  • Training & Development opportunities

Grants cannot be spent on:

  • Core running costs of the organisation
  • Research costs
  • Capital purchases over £1000
  • Costs not directly associated with the project
  • Animal welfare
  • Educational bursaries
  • Fundraiser fees
  • To support spponsored events including expeditions

All costs must be supported by written evidence / receipts.
All benficiaries must be unemployed.
