Positive Steps into Work
- Getting by on benefits?
- Options limited?
- Stuck in a rut?
- Want to work but need some support and advice?
We may be just what you are looking for!
Positive Steps into work is a new service designed to support you into training and employment.
We are aware that many people, especially those who have been unemployed for a long time, face very real barriers to work. These may include lack of confidence, few qualifications, childcare or health issues to name a few.
We have a dedicated team of workers who will provide one-to-one support at home to help you get into training and work. Your worker will develop a tailored support package to suit your particular requirements. We will help you get into self-esteem and confidence building courses or into training that will give you the confidence and skills you need to get back to work.
We can organise work tasters for you with local employers to help ease you back into work. We can also help you with producing a CV, writing letters, filling in applications and can even help you through the interview process, with on-going support once you are in work.
