Child Bereavement Charity

Every day, 11 children in the UK under the age of 15 die as a result of illness or accident.

Every year, around 20,000 children and young people under 18 experience the death of a parent.

Every year, one baby in a hundred dies before, at or soon after birth - that is 18 babies per day.

The Child Bereavement Charity (CBC), founded in 1994, offers support to families and professionals when a child dies, or when a child is bereaved of someone important in their lives.

Its support and information service is available to anyone affected by bereavement.  It offers a confidential listening service, for families and professionals, who would like to talk about their experiences, and provide a signposting service to other organisations, both locally and nationally, who may be able to offer further support, specific to each person's individual needs.

it also produces resources and information for children and families, and the professionals who come into contact with them in the course of their work.
