Childcare, Children and Young People
See our information on local childcare and parenting support. Our Children and Young People team works to engage with and safeguard the wellbeing of children.
We also provide a range of playschemes and holiday activity programmes throughout the year, supported by the work of two play rangers.
Concessionary Travel
If you are aged over 60 and/or you are registered as disabled, you can apply for the NowCard (external link) which entitles you to concessionary travel fares throughout Lancashire and the rest of the country.
Community Safety
We work in partnership with other local public sector services, such as the police, as well as voluntary groups, local businesses and the local community to promote community safety. Our aim is to make the district a safe and pleasant place in which to live, work and visit.
Local Strategic Partnership
The Lancaster District Local Strategic Partnership (LDLSP) brings together the public services in the area including: education, health, housing, police etc. along with representatives from the community, voluntary and business sectors. The partnership aims to work together to improve the quality of life for everyone in the district.
Sport, Leisure and Culture
