PCSOs on duty

PCSOs on duty

Lancaster District CSP fund a number of Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) working in the district to tackle crime and disorder by being a visible deterrent and providing reassurance to local residents.

PCSOs usually work as part of a local neighbourhood policing team and in partnership with other organisations on problems such as anti-social behaviour with the main duties being:

  • a point of contact for all members of the community
  • a highly visible patrol.

Two PCSOs have been employed with particular remits on alcohol and antisocial behaviour in recognition that these are two of the main objectives of the CSP.
