The CSP was set up in 1998 under the Crime and Disorder Act. This act put a duty on agencies to work together to reduce crime, disorder and antisocial behaviour. In Lancaster the priorities are:
• Domestic violence/abuse
• Violence against the person
• Road Safety
• Antisocial behaviour
• Serious acquisitive crime

How to report crime
- If you are in immediate danger or witnessing a crime in action call 999
- To report a non emergency crime call Lancaster Police on 01524 63333
- To report a crime anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
By emailing Crimeline@lancashire.pnn.police.uk you can send information directly to Lancaster’s target team, which focuses on drug dealing and acquisitive crimes such as burglary, theft or motor vehicle crime. However, the email address is not for reporting neighbourhood issues, such as anti-social behaviour, which should be reported through the usual channels set out above.
