Funding Your Environmental Projects
Funding sources are changing all the time – this is a selection of community and environmental grants available at the time of going to press:
1. Green Partnership Awards (GPA)

Grant funding can be the magic ingredient to get your project off the ground
Grants of around £500 and professional advice for local, community based, environmental initiatives. For further information visit our Green Partnership Awards page.
2. Lancaster District Community and Voluntary Solutions
Lancaster District CVS manages a variety of funds, which are suitable for environmental projects. Please visit the Lancaster CVS website for more information.
3. BIG Lottery funding
Every year BIG gives out millions of pounds from the National Lottery to good causes. Money goes to community groups and to projects that improve health, education and the environment. To search the site visit www.biglotteryfund.org.uk
4. Recycling and Reuse Credits
Recycling & Re-use Credits can be claimed by any not-for-profit group or charitable organisation that collects items from households in Lancashire & then recycles them rather than takes them to landfill. 5. Lancashire Environmental Fund (LEF)
The Lancashire Environmental Fund (LEF) is an environmental body enrolled with the Government's regulatory body, ENTRUST, to provide landfill tax funding for a wide variety of projects to improve the environment and bring community benefits throughout the county of Lancashire. 6. Lancashire Small Sites Reclamation Programme (LSSRP)
LSSRP is an ambitious programme of land reclamation and improvement. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance and professional advice to Lancashire's community groups who wish to develop innovative projects which will enhance the environment. Visit Lancashire Small Sites for more information.
7. Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Sustainable Development Fund
The Sustainable Development Fund is a scheme with allocates funding on an annual basis to all the AONBs in England and Wales. Funds have been available for both the Bowland AONB and the Arnside & Silverdale AONB.
