Corporate Plan 2012-15

The corporate plan sets out the council’s priorities for 2012-2015.

The corporate plan provides an overview of the council’s vision, core purposes and values and sets the scene within which all services operate. The council has approved the following four priorities:

Economic Growth
Lancaster district has exceptional opportunities to develop its economy. The council’s actions for the next three years will develop these opportunities and help to secure economic benefits through new jobs and business growth.

Clean, Green and Safe Places
The council will encourage local communities and individuals to 'Take Pride' in their local area and become involved in protecting and improving the quality of local areas, parks, and public spaces in a way that is sustainable. 

Health and Wellbeing
A range of actions to support the positive health and wellbeing of residents in the district have been identified. This includes improvement of council housing stock, allocating land for housing purposes, providing access to sports and leisure activities, supporting measures to keep vulnerable people warm in their homes and tackle homelessness and rough sleeping in the district.

Community Leadership
As community leaders, we are committed to working with all those who can help us to have a positive impact on life in the district, such as the county council, police, fire, education, health, private companies, voluntary organisations and community groups.

There are three key themes that underpin all the above corporate priorities: Working Together in Partnership; Managing the Council's Resources; and Environmental Sustainability.
