Elections and Voting

Elections 2014


On Thursday 22 May 2014 there will be two elections taking place.

The European election will take place to elect members to the European Parliament. Further information is available from the North West Votes dedicated website for the European election.

Local elections are taking place in the Lancaster City Council wards of Scotforth West and University, and the Morecambe Town Council ward of Westgate.

Elections are a democratic process where citizens aged 18 and over elect political candidates to represent them and their interests locally, nationally or internationally.

All elections held within the Lancaster district - local, general, mayoral and European elections - are organised and administered by Lancaster City Council.
