As a publicly funded organisation the council is committed to being as open and transparent as possible on how it spends tax-payers’ money.

We are now publishing online details of senior management annual salaries. The initial information provides a snapshot of the annual salary for each post as at 01 October 2010 and is available in the Downloads section on the right. In addition this information as at 01 April 2011 is also provided.

The information can be downloaded in both PDF format (easier to read) and CSV format, which may be loaded into a spreadsheet or other application for further analysis.

You are free to re-use the data under the same terms as the government’s Open Government Licence.

We also publish details of salaries paid which exceed £50,000 as part of our annual Statement of Accounts.
