Statutory Statement of Accounts

The Council's Statement of Accounts is produced in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2011, and with the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting in the United Kingdom (the SORP). The SORP specifies the principles and practices of accounting required to ensure that the statement of accounts "presents fairly" the financial position and transactions of the Council for the year.

The annual Governance Statement is produced in accordance with Regulation 4 of the Accounts & Audit (England) Regulations 2011.
