Taking place on the weekend of June 22 to 24, the Velocity Festival will celebrate the very best sporting activities the Lancaster district has to offer.
The festival will build on the excitement brought by the Olympic Torch, which is passing through the district on June 22.
On the Friday evening (June 22) there's a cycle road race in Lancaster, complemented by a local food fair in Dalton Square.
Following this, on Saturday and Sunday (June 23 and 24) the action moves to Morecambe. Showcasing the resort's natural assets - and set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Morecambe Bay – the Velocity Festival will be a high octane event, packed with exhilarating watersports. Watch expert kitesurfers and jet skiers do their stuff, or come and have a go yourself at yachting and kayaking.
And that's not all - the cool vibe will be continued with live music and BMX displays.
