LIGHT UP THE WATERWAYS - event fully booked*

Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 October
Start times: 7.15pm, 8.00pm, 8.45pm

*Please note that this ticket-only event is now fully booked on both evenings. Unfortunately there are no viewing areas for non-ticket holders, due to safety concerns and site restrictions. Please join us instead on Friday and Saturday night for our other Light up Lancaster events.

Commissioned by the Canal & River Trust, this is a free event for all the family to enjoy. Discover the stories and heritage of our waterways and their often overlooked ecology,
with a series of acts by aerial artists, magicians, dancers, musicians and other exciting performance artists, alongside the Grade 1 Listed Lune Aqueduct.

Drawing Workshops
During the day (10am - 5pm) on the 29 and 30 October, there will be family-friendly drawing workshops taking place at St Nics - creating pieces of artwork to be exhibited at Light Up The Streets. No need to book - just bring the family and join in! More details available by downloading the pdf at the top right hand corner of this page.

LIGHT UP THE SKIES

The Fireworks Spectacular
Saturday 2 November

Activities from 10am, Fireworks at 8pm

The viewing areas open at 6pm.
  • Conditions may be muddy underfoot so please wear suitable footwear and waterproof clothing.

The main viewing areas at Quay Meadow and Giant Axe require a wristband which can be ordered here: www.lancaster.gov.uk/fireworks . These viewing areas will be open from 6pm with last admissions at 7.30pm. Wristbands for Quay Meadow and Giant Axe are now fully booked online. There are a very few still available from the Visitor Information Centres.
