The council works to provide decent, safe and secure homes throughout the district.  Our priority areas and services include:

• Preventing homelessness
• Tackling problems with empty properties
• Providing Home Improvement Agency services for vulnerable homeowners
• Licensing of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs)
• Fire safety, disrepair and management issues in relation to the private rented sector 
• Promoting energy efficiency in the home and preventing fuel poverty.
