Be a Junior Zoo Keeper!
Observing butterflies at Williamson Park
Lancaster City Council is still on the look out for more junior zoo keepers to keep a close eye on the animals living in Williamson Park.
The course is for children aged 8 - 14 years and starts on the first weekend of the month. There is a course starting on the Saturday or one on a Sunday if you prefer at 10am. Pre-booking is essential as places are limited. The one hour course lasts for 3 weeks and costs £22 for the whole course.
It is an ideal opportunity for young nature lovers to experience what goes on behind the scenes at the park and what is involved in running a small zoo.
Each week there will be a chance to either feed animals or learn from the experienced staff about the woodland habitats, park maintenance and what is involved in caring for animals and butterflies.
