What better way to get from Lancaster to this year’s RSPB Summer Fair at Leighton Moss than by bike.
For anyone who fancies taking the scenic route to this year's event, Lancaster City Council’s Cycling Demonstration Town Team is organising a guided cycle ride to the fair on Sunday, August 10.
The 13 mile ride kicks off at from the Millennium Bridge (north) at 11am and takes riders through Ryelands Park, along quiet roads and the Lancaster Canal.
Visitors to the fair which also takes place on Saturday, 9 August are promised lots to see and do including demonstrations and activities for all ages. Tempting local produce and tasty snacks from the barbecue will also be on offer.
Admission to the fair is free for all cyclists taking part in the ride. On Saturday you can visit the Celebrating Cycling stall and pick up some local information. On Sunday the police will be offering free bike postcoding.
No need to book - just turn up!
A park and ride scheme for will also be available from Warton stock car track for those travelling by car.
