If you fancy a great night out this autumn then get yourself down to The Platform, Lancaster City Council's performing arts venue in Morecambe.

The venue's latest brochure is out now and includes details of some of the top class acts that will be appearing before the end of the year.

Highlights include comedians Jason Manford and Stephen K Amos, both of whom have lit up our television screens in recent years with their unique wit.

Also tickling the funny bone will be 4 Poofs and a Piano, Jonathan Ross's resident band, and Otis Lee Crenshaw, the alter ego of American comedian Rich Hall.

If music's your thing then there's plenty on offer to whet the appetite.

Legendary rocker Alvin Stardust will be lighting up the venue as part of his first UK tour since the 1970s and 80s icon Hazel O'Connor promises a powerful and stirring performance.

Other highlights include AC/DC tribute act Livewire, Irish musician Brian Kennedy, Nearly Dan, The Searchers, and The Animals and Friends with legendary guitarist Spencer Davis.

To celebrate Christmas a number of special events will be on offer to get you in the festive spirit.

Morecambe Band will be performing a selection of favourite carols and Tapestry of Music will present a wide range of early music from the Medieval, Tudor and Baroque periods using their collection of fascinating early and ethnic instruments.

The brochure is available from the Tourist Information Centres in Lancaster and Morecambe.
Alternatively, if you would like to receive a copy of the brochure, please telephone the Box Office on 01524 582803 or you can view the full line-up at www.lancaster.gov.uk/platformanddome.
