A local woman has received an extra treat this Christmas - thanks to Lancaster City Council and Booths, Scotforth.
Julia Westaway from Galgate won a hamper of local luxuries courtesy of Booths, after filling in a workplace travel survey for Lancaster City Council.
The survey was carried out to help the council’s Cycling Demonstration Town (CDT) Team find out what modes of transport residents currently use to get themselves to work. The results of the survey will help the cycling team develop ways in which it can encourage more people to commute by bike.
Julia was one of more than 1,350 residents who completed the survey and given the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win a Booths Christmas hamper.
Coun Eileen Blamire, cabinet member with responsibility for cycling said: “It’s very encouraging to know that our travel survey has attracted such a huge response from local people. Feedback from residents about cycling continues to be very important to us and helps us to shape our work plan for the coming year.”
Julia who works for North Lancs NHS Trust was presented with her prize by Coun Eileen Blamire (Lancaster City Council cabinet member with responsibility for cycling) and Booths Store Manager, Adam Slater.
