Barry Walker's Smackee return to Lancaster City Council's Morecambe Dome on Saturday February 23 with a brand new production 'Memories Are Made of Hits' that brings together the music and artistes that were at their most popular in the nostalgic era of the 50's and early 60's.
This is not a rock 'n' roll show, but a presentation that wants to remind the audience of some of those wonderful stars that were providing the hit parade with some of the greatest and most popular hit recordings ever made.
Featured amongst others will be such classic performers as Judy Garland, Doris Day, Connie Francis, Johnnie Ray, Buddy Holly, Perry Como, Billy Fury, Matt Monro, Bobby Darin, Dusty Springfield, The Shadows and Burt Bacharach to name but a few!
This dynamic two hour long production guarantees that the audience will leave after the show with more than just one memory of this great musical era. Remember, this was a time when you knew the words to every song in the pop charts of the day!
Smackee have a nationwide fan base and perform various productions including 'Phantom and the Musicals' and the award winning 'Abba The Show' which came to Morecambe Dome in December 2006.
The show will start at 8pm and tickets cost £12.50 from the Box Office on 01524 582803.
