British Blues Quintet featuring singer Maggie Bell return to The platform
Maggie Bell, one of the greatest soul and blues singers this country has produced, will be performing at The Platform in Morecambe with her band, known as The British Blues Quintet. The concert will take place on Saturday March 15.
Maggie Bell, one of the greatest soul and blues singers this country has produced, will be performing at The Platform in Morecambe with her band, known as The British Blues Quintet. The concert will take place on Saturday March 15.
The other members of the Quintet are Zoot Money, Miller Anderson, Colin Hodgkinson and Colin Allen. These artistes are the best in their field – they've been around the block a few times and performed with some of the greatest names in music over the past 40 years. They will play a selection of music from those heady, foot stomping days and nights of the 60s.
Maggie Bell and drummer Colin Allen were both members of the legendary Stone The Crows. Zoot Money is one of the best 'good time' performers in the business. He not only plays great keyboards but also sings with guts and emotion.
Miller Anderson has played guitar with many top bands since the 1960s including the Keef Hartley Band, Savoy Brown, Chicken Shack, Mountain, T-Rex and Donovan's band. Bass player Colin Hodgkinson was in Alexis Corner's band for almost 20 years.
The show will start at 8pm and tickets cost £13 adults, £11 concessions, from the Box Office on 01524 582803.
