Already firm favourites with Country and Western and Forties Swing audiences throughout Britain, The Swing Commanders now include close harmony specialists, The Laverne Sisters, and mandolin champion, Simon Brady, to produce over two hours of vibrant, top quality live music.
With charismatic vocalist Peter Riley still out front, they now offer five voices, six quality musicians and an amazing 13 instruments, in an array of talent that has attracted the press accolade of 'the best feel good band in the land'.
With regular radio and TV appearances already behind them, this unique sextet are now preparing for a tour of Texas in June, where they will be the first British band ever to be invited to perform at the prestigious legends of Western Swing Festival in Wichita Falls. The band will also be performing at the Floralia Country Music Festival in Oosterhuit, Holland in August, as well as a number of festivals in the UK.
Presenting the best of music from the 30s, 40s and 50s, be it Swing, Jazz, Latin or Country, The Swing Commanders offer a superb evening of live entertainment for listeners and dancers alike.
