Liverpool comedians show at Morecambe Dome

An evening of side splitting stand up comedy comes to Lancaster City Council's Morecambe Dome with the Liverpool Comedians Show on Friday 1st February.

An evening of side splitting stand up comedy comes to Lancaster City Council's Morecambe Dome with the Liverpool Comedians Show on Friday 1st February.  The show stars Hal Nolan, Micky Finn, P J Laine and Eddie Archer who between them have many years of experience at making people laugh.

Hal Nolan is the comic with a difference.  He has been in show business for over 30 years and during that time has won many awards for being funny and original and has built a reputation for being a fast, clean comedian.  He became a household name back in the 80's when he appeared on the TV series 'The Comedians' which until recently was being shown on Sky TV.  His trademark is to give red roses to ladies in the audience at the beginning of each performance.

Micky Finn is Liverpool's best loved comedian.  Like Hal Nolan, he also appeared on 'The Comedians' but his most memorable TV performance was on Opportunity Knocks in 1975 when the Liverpool Echo carried the headline "Mickey Finn KO's The Clapometer" as, on the night, the audience reaction was so tremendous that the noise level of the applause caused major problems with the equipment recording the sound level.

Throughout his career, Mickey has appeared with many star names such as Ken Dodd, Sir Cliff Richard, Cilla Black, Michael Parkinson, Ricky Tomlinson to name but a few – you could say Micky has appeared with more stars than Sir Patrick Moore!

P J Laine is one of Merseyside's up and coming talents rapidly making a name for himself as one of the best Comedy and Vocal entertainers on the scene today.

Eddie Archer is a cabaret artiste of the most versatile nature, as well as being one of Liverpool's top comics, he also sings songs you want to hear.  He has worked in all the top cabaret venues throughout the UK and has appeared on many TV shows including New Faces and Fame Game and has played cameo parts in Coronation Street, Brookside, Boon and Boys From the Blackstuff.

The show will start at 8pm and tickets cost £10 from the Box Office on 01524 582803.
