WRESTLERS are getting ready to rumble at Lancaster City Council's Morecambe Dome on Saturday, February 2 when the XWA returns to town.
Topping the bill at the exciting 'Goldrush' event will be an over-the-top rope 'royal rumble' where 15 of the biggest, meanest grapple stars will fight to survive.
Among the tough guys competing to earn a shot at the British Heavyweight Title will be fans' favourite Sam Slam, masked Mexican high-flyer El Ligero (see picture), Liverpool's insane 'Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere, chav tag team The Manchester Massive and veteran villain 'Mr Deal or No Deal' Stevie Knight.
Making their XWA debut at the Goldrush will be 18 stone strongman 'The Heavyweight House of Pain' Stixx and from Ireland, 'The Shamrock Superman' Keego Ward.
In addition, British Heavyweight Champion 'The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm will defend his title on the show against 'The Hard Man' Johnny Angel. Morecambe's own Greg Lambert will be your MC for the evening.
Goldrush, the XWA's traditional curtain-raiser for Morecambe's year of wrestling, usually sells out so please book your tickets in advance. XWA merchandise will be on sale and, as always, The Morecambe Raffle will be a major part of proceedings.
Doors open at 7pm on the night. To experience the best pro wrestling night out in the north west, book your tickets now by calling 01524 582803 or pop into Morecambe or Lancaster tourist information centres.
