Lancaster City Council has published its Annual Report for 2007/08.
The report gives residents an overview of the council and the district it serves, as well as a snapshot of some of our achievements and initiatives during the past year.
It looks back at another successful year for the council - a year which saw Lancaster City Council recognised as a ‘Good’ authority by the Audit Commission – and looks forward to the challenges of the year to come.
It also provides information on our key priorities for the coming year (outlined in our Corporate Plan) and satisfies our statutory duty to publish a public account of our performance over the last twelve months.
The council is committed to open governance and this report is an important step in helping our residents to get involved in the life of their local council.
Chair of Council’s Business Committee, Coun Robert Smith, in welcoming the report said, "It is important that our residents have a real say in how their council is performing and we welcome comments on this report and its contents.
