Musical duo return to perform in Lancaster
Lancaster City Council’s series of free lunchtime concerts has a new temporary home. On July 31 the Ashton Hall in Lancaster Town Hall will play host to pianist Suzy Ruffles and Lancaster-born flautist, Aine Lambert.
Lancaster City Council’s series of free lunchtime concerts has a new temporary home. On July 31 the Ashton Hall in Lancaster Town Hall will play host to pianist Suzy Ruffles and Lancaster-born flautist, Aine Lambert.
Starting at 12.45pm the concert is in place of the planned event at the St John’s Church.
Áine and Suzy met while studying at the Trinity College of Music, London and have been performing together as a duo since 2005. They have given duo recitals in Waltham Abbey, London, Lancaster, and Northern Ireland.
Áine Lambert is graduated with 1st Class Honours from Trinity College of Music, London, studying with Wissam Boustany, Lynda Coffin and Alan Baker. Áine has a great interest in orchestral and chamber music and regularly freelances with the Manchester Camerata, and Lancashire Sinfonietta.
Suzy Ruffles graduated from the University of Southampton and later undertook a postgraduate diploma in piano accompaniment at Trinity College of Music in 2005, studying under Eugene Asti and Christine Croshaw.
