Sonicboom returns to rock The Dome

Sonicboom, the rock night for under 18s, is returning to The Dome in Morecambe on Thursday July 24.

Sonicboom, the rock night for under 18s, is returning to The Dome in Morecambe on Thursday July 24.
Expect to be amazed and mesmerized by a combination of the finest live rock bands from around the country and locally, paired with the finest rock DJs Britain has to offer.

Manchester based promoters V-man events, responsible for bringing the Arctic Monkeys, Athlete, The Kooks and more recently Ocean Colour Scene to the Dome, have run a  number of successful under 18s rock nights in Manchester.

Realising the local music scene had little  for the 11 to 17 year old age group they decided to bring the concept to  Morecambe.

The event will include:

Headlining the event will be ‘Dear Superstar’ – Fresh off tour with Bullet for My Valentine.

Lake of Fire – hard punk rock sounds from Ripley High School.

Chase this City – An incredible talent from Lancaster’s newest rock band.

The bands will be playing their own original material, mixed with covers of recent rock charts. Manchester DJs will be playing songs from many well known rock bands including Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, Trivium, The Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, Mindless Self Indulgence and many more

The evening is strictly for 11- 17 year olds and will be an alcohol free zone. The Dome is providing security for the event and staff from the various schools will also be in attendance.

Students at Heysham High school, Carnforth High School, Morecambe High School and Ripley High School can get their tickets direct from these schools. Tickets are also available from The Dome, Morecambe (01524 582803) and on the door on the night of the event.

Doors open at 6.30pm and the evening will finish at 10pm. Tickets cost £5.
