London Chinese Quartet comes to Lancaster

Lancaster City Council’s series of free lunchtime concerts continues on Thursday July 3 with a performance by the Silk and Bamboo Ensemble.
Starting at 12.45pm the concert will be held at St John’s Church on Chapel Street, Lancaster.
The Silk and Bamboo Ensemble is a leading Chinese string and wind instrumental group. On this occasion, the group will present a set of traditional and modern Chinese music including classical and folk.
Since 1998, the musicians have performed at festivals and cultural events and have been in demand for media and film recordings. They also regularly offer educational activities in schools in the UK and Europe.
