Ever wanted to know how to make money from your music? Now you can, with an exciting free training event to be held in Lancaster next week.

As part of the Supersonic Music Network, ‘Earning Money from your Music,’ will be a survival guide on how to be a successful musician in the 21st Century.

Hosted by a wealth of established industry professionals, budding musicians can learn how to make a living, organise gigs and develop an audience to help you have the career they want.

Eleanor Brody, IPS Law, Paul King - Manager of Tears for Fears and Dire Straits, Liam Walsh of Ask Me PR and Martyn Walsh of Inspiral Carpets will be on hand in the Revolution Bar, Penny Street, Lancaster on Wednesday, 18 June from 6pm – 8pm to give an insight into getting into the music industry.

This is an exceptional opportunity for the city and has been funded in partnership by Lancaster City Council, Lancashire County Council, Arts Council England and co-ordinated by Creative Lancashire.

Coun Jane Fletcher, cabinet member with responsibility for arts, museums, leisure, sport and young people said: “Lancaster City Council is committed to ensuring that the next generation of musicians and artists are given a range of opportunities to help them further their careers. This event is the first of its kind, but certainly not the last and our aim is to further these opportunities and maximise the potential of this highly creative district.”
