Regeneration Games to hit Salt Ayre
Around 260 children from Poulton and the West End of Morecambe will take part in a variety of sports at the Regeneration Games.
Around 260 children from Poulton and the West End of Morecambe will take part in a variety of sports at the Regeneration Games.
The inter-school sporting event takes place at Salt Ayre on Monday June 23.
Pupils from West End, Poulton-le-Sands, St Mary’s and Morecambe Bay Primary Schools will compete in activities including swimming, athletics, netball and tag-rugby.
It will be a great opportunity for the children to try different sports whatever their experience. Trophies will be up for grabs for the winners from the athletics and the swimming gala. Every child will receive a medal for taking part.
The Regeneration Games have been organised by Lancaster City Council, Poulton Neighbourhood Management and Winning Back Morecambe’s West End.
Sue Boswell, community development officer at Poulton Neighbourhood Management added: “The Regeneration Games aim to bring together pupils from the different schools around Morecambe to have fun, try new activities and make new friends.”
