Lancaster will once again echo to the smells and sounds of Europe over the Bank Holiday weekend as the city hosts a Continental Market from May 24 to 26.
The Continental Market has been a popular feature in Lancaster city centre for many years, but this year’s will have a distinctly different feel.
A new operator, Amber Markets, will be providing the market and have promised a much more continental flavour with stalls from all over the European Union.
The market will operate between 9am and 5pm on all three days. It will be complemented by fabulous free family entertainment from a variety of roving street artists between 10am and 3pm.
So come and enjoy the real flavour of Europe in the heart of Lancaster with professional market traders selling high quality products from across the continent.
Some of the tantalising products on offer will include Dutch and French Cheese, garlic of every hue and colour, olives from France, Spain, Morocco and Turkey, and freshly baked baguettes from the boulangerie stand.
Don’t miss this fantastic event and don’t forget that we have our regular street market every Wednesday and Saturday.
The Continental Market is a joint initiative between Lancaster City Council, St. Nicholas Arcades and Marketgate Shopping Centre.
