For the first time Lancaster City Council would like to include five citizens of the district in the celebrations to mark the installation of the new Mayor, Councillor Keith Budden.
The new Mayor is installed at the Annual Council Meeting which will take place at 12pm on Friday May 16 in the Ashton Hall, and a selection of VIPs are then invited to lunch afterwards in the Banqueting Suite.
Those chosen to attend will be part of the whole celebration which will conclude at approximately 4pm.
The five available places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and applicants should provide their name and address and a contact phone number to the Mayor’s Office at the Town Hall, Lancaster, by telephone on (01524) 582070 or by email to ljackson@lancaster.gov.uk. The first five to register will then be supplied with further details about the event.
