Lancaster City Council is inviting you to come and enjoy free music in your lunchtime at St John's Church on Chapel Street in Lancaster.
The church is the venue for a series of popular lunchtime concerts which are now in their seventeenth year.
Each of the seven concerts will last for 45 minutes starting at 12.45pm. They will run on Thursdays, from June 5 to August 21.
The Promenade Clarinet Trio will provide the music for the first concert on June 5.
June 19 – An organ recital by Edward Rugman
July 3 - A rare performance by the UK’s finest Chinese ensemble – The Silk and Bamboo ensemble
17 July - Nicholas Novicki
31 July – A duet by Aine Lambert and Suzy Ruffles
14 August – An organ recital by Colin Parsons
The final concert, on August 21, will culminate in the opening of the tenth Lancaster Jazz Festival with a performance by Sue Parish and her musicians.
Coun Maia Whitelegg, cabinet member with responsibility for Culture, Leisure, Sport and Young People, said: "The arts team at the council are determined to provide free, open and accessible music for our residents. This series of concerts continues to become more popular and I’m sure this year will be no different."
A programme can be picked up from both Lancaster and Morecambe's tourist information centres, The Platform, community pools and also Salt Ayre Sports Centre.
