Hazel O'Connor - Beyond Breaking Glass Tour comes to The Platform

Hazel O`Connor, together with celebrated Irish harpist Cormac De Barra, comes to the Platform on Sunday 16th November to perform her show `Beyond Breaking Glass` - an autobiographical show which was born at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Hazel O`Connor, together with celebrated Irish harpist Cormac De Barra, comes to the Platform on Sunday 16th November to perform her show `Beyond Breaking Glass` - an autobiographical show which was born at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The show depicts Hazel`s life  through the powerful medium of music and spoken word and features songs from her dazzling career.  Hazel will take us on an emotional journey from her childhood, through her early triumphs and tribulations right up to the present day.  Her candid and moving account details the highs and lows of a career that had her catapulted into stardom after gaining the starring role in the film `Breaking Glass`.  Hit songs followed but so did the problems.

Having demonstrated a philosophy that has marked her out as a truly great survivor, Hazel will re-enact scenes from her past and will perform many of her self penned songs including the hits `Will You`, `Eighth Day`, `Blackman` and `Decadent Days`.  Cormac De Barra has been performing with Hazel since this innovative show was first launched to delighted theatre audiences.

Together they will reach into the depths of your soul.  This intimate evening combines Hazel`s enthralling story with the musicianship of Cormac in a stirring musical marriage.  Hazel writes from the heart, she performs from the heart and she touches your heart.  Miss her at your peril!

The show will start at 7.30pm and tickets cost £14 adults, £12 concessions, from the Box Office on 01524 582803 or 01524 406108.
