During the weekend of the Heritage Open days in the Lancaster District (Thursday 11 – Sunday 14 September), Lancaster City Council has organised a guided bike ride around Lancaster’s historical buildings and sites.
The 6 mile tour by bike is the perfect way to see the rich architectural and cultural heritage of the city and with regular stops en route, there’s no danger of getting worn out.
Learn about the history of the buildings in Dalton Square, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and the 121 year old Ripley Chapel before heading off to sites in and around Williamson Park, finishing the tour at the Town Hall.
This ride will be led at a leisurely pace off and on road so people of all cycling abilities are welcome to come along free of charge.
Meet at the Millennium Bridge at 11am. No need to book just turn up with your bike and some lunch and enjoy.
