'Healthy Wheels' cycling sessions - an all round way of getting fit
Get fit in time for summer!
Looking for a fun, cheap way of getting fit this summer and wonder if cycling could be the one for you?
Lancaster City Council’s Cycling Demonstration Town (CDT) Team might have the answer with its free Saturday morning ‘Healthy Wheels’ cycling and training sessions.
With or without a bike of your own, everyone is welcome to pop along to Salt Ayre Sports Centre at 11am for a great opportunity to get healthy, meet new people and explore the local area.
Those who don’t have a bike or don't yet feel confident enough to ride there can borrow one from Salt Ayre by booking in advance via the council’s CDT team (see contact details below).
The sessions are open to all abilities although they aren’t suitable for complete beginners. Older children are welcome to come along. However, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
There’s no need to book your place on the session - just turn up.
For more information, please contact the CDT team on 01524 582392 / 582616 or send an email to celebratingcycling@lancaster.gov.uk.
More information on the sessions and other cycle rides and events can be found at www.celebratingcycling.org.
