Market for local producers comes to Morecambe
Locally produced food, arts and crafts at Morecambe's Festival Market
Lancaster City Council is organising a special event featuring local producers of food, arts and crafts at Morecambe’s Festival Market.
Taking place on the May bank holiday weekend (May 2 to 4) the special market will give local producers the chance to show off their goods during one of the busiest weekends of the year.
Tracey Bruce, manager of the Festival Market, explained: “The Lancaster district is renowned for being home to some of the best local producers in the country.
“We’re hoping to attract a wide-range of different stalls so there should be something for everyone.”
There are still places available for any local producers who would like to join in the event.
Traders will need to bring stalls and covers as the market will be operated from the Festival Market car park. Generators will be provided for electricity and access to water and refuse disposal is also available.
For more information and to book a stall contact Tracey on 01524 414251 or email tbruce@lancaster.gov.uk
Spaces for stalls will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The event is a direct replacement for the Continental Market which usually takes place on the May bank holiday weekend at the Festival Market.
