New guided cycle ride celebrates city, coast and countryside

Enjoy a cycle ride through all your local areas.

Lancaster City Council is inviting you to join its Cycling Demonstration Town (CDT) Team on a guided bike ride to celebrate the opening of a new circular route through city, coast and countryside.

Recent improvements to the district's cycle network which include a new toucan crossing connecting Morecambe promenade to the new shared use path on Coastal Road, Morecambe and Lancaster Canal have opened up a new 11 mile off-road cycle route.

The free circular ride takes place on Sunday, April 19, starting at 11am from Lancaster's Millennium Bridge. All those wanting to join the ride in Morecambe should meet outside the Stone Jetty Café at 11.40am.

Everyone welcome. Suitable for all ages. No need to book - just turn up!
