Survey Success

Louise Price receives her cycling survey prize from Booths store manager, Adam Slater
A MORECAMBE woman has received an extra treat this Christmas - thanks to Lancaster City Council and Booths, Scotforth.
Louise Price won a hamper of local luxuries courtesy of Booths, after filling in a workplace travel survey for Lancaster City Council.
The survey was carried out to help the council’s Cycling Demonstration Town (CDT) Team find out what modes of transport residents currently use to get themselves to work. The results of the survey will help the cycling team develop ways in which it can encourage more people to commute by bike.
Louise was one of more than 1,619 residents who completed the survey and given the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win a Booths Christmas hamper worth £125.
Runners up are set to receive a variety of cycling goodies.
Coun Jon Barry, cabinet member with responsibility for cycling said: “Since the CDT team was launched five years ago, the annual cycling survey has always provided crucial information on what needs to be done to encourage more people to commute by bike. This year’s results will enable the team to work on an action plan for 2010 so thanks must go to everyone who took time to complete the questionnaire.”
