Fun and frolics in store at Lancaster City Council's Dog Fun Day
Lancaster City Council has teamed up with the RSPCA and Dogs Trust to offer free microchipping, ID tagging, training and neutering to all dog owners at a special event to be held later this month.
Lancaster City Council has teamed up with the RSPCA and Dogs Trust to offer free microchipping, ID tagging, training and neutering to all dog owners at a special event to be held later this month.
The Dog Fun Day will take place on Wednesday February 18 at Westgate Primary School in Morecambe.
Dog owners will be given the chance to have their pets chipped for free and meet experts from the RSPCA and Dogs Trust, who will be on hand to offer advice.
Lune Valley Dog Training Club will also be providing free obedience classes.
Every dog attending will be given a free engraved disc to put on their collar and anyone claiming any type of welfare benefit will be entitled to a free neutering voucher. To claim the voucher simply take along some form of proof of your benefit.
The Dog Fun Day will run between 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm.
Children are welcome but they must be accompanied by an adult.
