Jasmine's artwork takes to the road

A pupil from Archbishop Hutton's Primary School in Warton has won the honour of seeing her artwork used on the side of a van used by Lancaster City Council’s new Play Rangers.

A pupil from Archbishop Hutton's Primary School in Warton has won the honour of seeing her artwork used on the side of a van used by Lancaster City Council's new Play Rangers.

Jasmine Peters won a competition to design new artwork for the van, which will be used by Play Rangers Mel Walker and Mel Martin.

The competition, which attracted more than 300 entries, was run last year at Lancaster City Council's popular series of playschemes.

As a reward for her hard work she picked up an arts and crafts set and a framed picture of her artwork.

The two Mels will be out and about in the van this half term with a full range of free activities to occupy children aged between four and 16 (children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult) during the school holidays.

Activities on offer will include den building, arts and crafts, giant Jenga, gardening, group games, bug hunts and much more.
