The Hamsters play Jimi Hendrix & ZZ Top at The Platform
Guitar, bass and drums trio, The Hamsters, will be performing a concert of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top songs at the Platform on Saturday 14th March.
Guitar, bass and drums trio, The Hamsters, will be performing a concert of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top songs at the Platform on Saturday 14th March.
The Hamsters are one of the UK`s premier Blues rock attractions, having played 4,000 concerts in 21 years. Although usually playing their own brand of rootsy Rock, Blues and Americana, they are also widely regarded as the UK`s finest interpreters of the music of Hendrix and ZZ Top.
The band`s guitarist/singer Slim had a new interview in Guitarist magazine recently, and the lads are appearing in a new three hour DVD documentary about the Fender Stratocaster titled `Strat Masters` . Other players featured in this film include Ry Cooder, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, Chris Rea and Hank Marvin among others.
A recent quote in The Times read `Nobody does the music of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top better (except the real ZZ Top)`.
The show will start at 8pm and tickets cost £12 adults, £11 concessions from the Box Office on 01524 582803. Please note that this is a standing concert with unreservable limited seating.
