Fun weekend had by all at Morecambe's Festival Market
Fifth annual family fun weekend in Morecambe
Morecambe’s Festival Market celebrated its fifth annual family fun weekend (July 4 and 5) in style, despite the best efforts of the weather.
Traders and customers came together to enjoy a free fun packed programme of entertainment, competitions, give-a-ways and extra stalls.
Entertainment came from Damart Band, Bay Beat Band, trials bike display riders, Where Angel’s Play, Punch and Judy, Astral Circus, XWA Wrestlers and Spitfire Pro-wrestlers.
As an added bonus local dance troupes were given the opportunity to perform their routines in front of an appreciative audience. The Central Dance Academy, Central High Dancers and performers, Strawberry Dance Studios and Centre Stage Dancers all put on amazing shows.
In addition, a face painter, bouncy castle, the police and fire brigade all played their part in making the weekend a huge success and the Festival Market a great place to be.
Tracey Bruce, manager of the Festival Market, said: “The fun weekend was a massive success and I’d like to thank everyone who was involved. In addition to all the fun we managed to raise over £200 for Derian House and a further £87 for MacMillan cancer support.”
