Lancaster City Council celebrates children's right to play!
Have fun on Playday.
It’s Playday on Wednesday 5 August, so head on over to Williamson Park where there will be a number of free activities organised by Lancaster City Council’s Play Rangers.
Playday is an annual event to celebrate children’s right to play, which sees hundreds of organised events take place across the UK.
Starting at 11am, there will plenty to do including an inflatable assault course, den building, face painting, arts and crafts, man hunt, water slides, fire building and cooking. There will also be the chance to have a free tour of the butterfly and mini beast houses.
If that wasn’t enough, there will be various entertainers making an appearance including Mr Jolly, who will be dazzling people with his tricks and balloon modelling, and DJ Thommo will also be there to provide music throughout the day.
Playday will last until 3pm with a grand finale of a group dance off at 2.30pm at the bottom of the Ashton Memorial.
